EISODE offers a context suited to the experience of installations incorporating elements of generative art. These works are linked to technologies based on algorithmic writing systems that unfold over time. [re]capture is part of the ongoing research project
Soft Dynamic Membranes: Air filtration as a material,
interdisciplinary, and socio-environmental exchange process (FRQ-SC, CAM)
Symphony of the Stones features two aluminum sculptures echoing the metal structures left from the site’s industrial past.
The sculptures are placed over polluted areas, flush with the ground and covered with earth. Beneath each sculpture, magnetic fields activates the residues on top of their surface.
The project aims to creates new sensory relationships between humans and soil, encouraging bodily engagement. The project invites the public not merely to observe the soils, but to experience direct contact with them.
